To say that Sherree Patrice Brown’s sound is distinctive is an understatement.  Formerly known as Sherree Ford-Payne, the thirteen Grammy Participant and one Dove Award recipient is a vocal chameleon whose satin-like delivery can be heard through multiple genres, including R&B, rock, jazz, country, and gospel. Sherree has earned 44 x RIAA Certified Platinum records and 11 Gold records as a songwriter and supporting vocalist on the albums of the music industry Legends and Icons. Her versatility comes from working closely with Grammy Award-winning artists, producers, and songwriters such as Celine Dion, Carlos Santana, Faith Hill, CeCe Winans, and Michael W. Smith, just to name a few.

 

 

 

From the very beginning, Sherree grasped the industry with both hands, writing songs for Nancy Wilson, and recording demos for top producers and songwriters such as Dianne Warren, David Foster, Carole Bayer-Sager, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Harvey Mason Jr., Damon Thomas of the Underdogs, Keith Crouch, Warryn Campbell and many others. Sherree has also toured with Icons Chaka Khan, Jennifer Lopez, and Mariah Carey.  In addition, she was also a supporting vocalist for Whitney Houston, Brandy, Toni Braxton, Rahsaan Patterson, Lalah Hathaway, and Usher. She even landed a duet on Michael Bublé’ ’s debut self-titled platinum-selling album, “You’ll Never Find.” 

 

 

 

Sherree segued into the Adult Contemporary Jazz and Gospel genre as a singer and songwriter. Her impressive vocal presence and songwriting skills have been featured on the albums of several major recording artists including Nancy Wilson, Four Play, Brian Culbertson, Maysa Leaks, Jonathan Butler, Norman Brown and Al Jarreau. She is the Dove Award recipient for “Best Urban Song Of The Year” as a songwriter  of  Anything Is Possible” by the Contemporary Christian Music group “Anointed”. She has also worked on multiple albums of renowned gospel music artists and producers such as Israel Houghton, CeCe Winans, Michael W. Smith, Kirk Franklin, Aaron Lindsey, and the Winans.

 

No doubt that Sherree's sound has been a major staple and contribution to the music soundtrack of the 90's and Millennial music eras. But today is a new day for Sherree Patrice. She has reignited her passion for music, with new projects that will showcase her many years of experience in the industry by fusing sounds and inspirations from all genres of music. It is with this same passion that Sherree has established the Brown Butterfly Entertainment Group LLC and founded The BBE Creative Arts Foundation (BBECAF).
